Set in one of the most beautiful locations - under 10 minutes from Masterton yet so peaceful, serene, lush - this picturesque property provides an opportunity to dabble in nuts... and still have room to run a flock of sheep.
Currently established with 10 paddocks, more than 280 mature chestnut, hazelnut, walnut, almond and pecan trees, not to mention a variety of fruit and citrus trees, there's more than enough scope here for the hobby orchardist/farmer to play with. However, with additional space still vacant, one could really get keen and expand the plantings and/or varieties as appropriate.
Meanwhile, the four-double-bedroomed, family home nestles comfortably, privately, amid its own lush surrounds. Garden beds overflow with roses, irises, wisteria, buxus, camellias, rhododendrons, maple... Shrubs, trees, and scalloped lawns create form within the profusion of colour and textures. Birdsong fills the air.
With a recorded floor area of 200 square metres, the home is generously proportioned with bedrooms and multiple living areas spilling out to a north-west, atrium-styled verandah: a temptation to stay and linger; to soak up the serenity and beauty here.
Storage throughout is enviable, and there's a separate laundry, ensuite, bathroom, separate toilet, dedicated workstation behind doors, and the spacious kitchen is very well appointed.
Three-car garaging includes a large chiller for nut storage and is abundant with natural light. There is a sheep run and sheds; a water well and paddocks.
For the hobby-farmer/relaxed lifestyling family, you could not wish for a more beautiful setting. The river is nearby for fishing and swimming whilst town and schooling are an easy distance.
It is imperative that you express your interest at your earliest convenience. Please call John for more information or your personal appointment to view.
